Pocketboy Solid + Muel Muel + Catafard

Chicago Indie Rockers Pocketboy Solid will be playing Montreal’s Quai des Brumes with the wonderful Muel Muel and Catafard.

The Muel Muel project was born in 2021 when Samuel Bernard (vocals, guitar) met Paul Brière (drums) at an open mic in Montréal. Their shows are their battlefield and, like any ancestral warrior, they don’t fear the afterlife, because they know we’ll be welcomed there as heroes. As Maximus Decimus Meridius says: “What we do in life echoes in eternity.”

Catafard is a multi-instrumentalist based in Montreal. Surrounded by his dad and friends, the artist channels his creative energy to blend indie-rock and jangle-pop (and even languages) into a sound that’s both decadent and liberated. His debut project, the EP 4481, gained some attention last year, ending up in Qobuz’s Top 2024 Albums of the Year. When performing live, Catafard sings while drumming, adding a raw, dynamic layer to his performances. Now, he’s offering his first live show since its release, in his apartment, with some fresh new tracks
